Knowledge Sharing for Farmers Across Scotland

Upland AMP Grazing - Monday 21 September - Kirriemuir

Farmers, producers and landworkers are invited to join this farm walk at Rottal Estate - Kirriemuir, with Nikki and James Yoxall of Rottal Land and Livestock.

On this farm walk we will be looking at Adaptive Multi-Paddock (AMP) grazing management and how the farming enterprise integrates with the estate's sporting and nature restoration aims whilst delivering a profitable business model for all parties.

Building Resilient Grazing - Friday 18 September - Bridge o Weir

Join the Greater Glasgow & Clydeside Farmer Cluster for an afternoon at Killochries Fold, Lukestone Farm focusing on the role of native breeds in building resilient grazing systems and supporting biodiversity.

Alongside its focus on breeding, genetic diversity and performance, the farm places importance on land management and conservation, including grazing management that support heather regeneration and birdlife.

Share an Acre - Monday 28 September - Neilston

Accessing land can present a significant barrier for many new entrants to set up their own land-based enterprise. Join us for an afternoon at Leftfield, Neilston where we will be discussing how groups have accessed land in and around Glasgow. From short term tenancies to verbal agreements, we'll explore rights and responsibilities when taking on land with a hope to encourage more collaboration between farmers, growers, communities groups and tenants.

Farmer to farmer knowledge sharing events are funded by Scottish Government's Knowledge Transfer Innovation Fund
